The book of Ruth tells the story of a woman who God chose to use as part of His plan to send Jesus. Ruth was chosen by God, but she had to face many challenges along the way; tragic loss, great need, and most dangerous threat of all - hopelessness. Ruth's story reveals to us how God can bless a life that is humbly submitted to him, helping us to overcome our challenges and know that we, too, have been Chosen.

spotlight youth theater camp

Registration forms are available at the information table for Spotlight Youth Theater camp, which will be hosted by HRCC. The camp will be held June 17-21 from 9am to 3pm and serves kids ages 5-12. Registration rates is $155. The camp will train kids who have an interest in acting, music and dance, and features favorite songs from Pixar animated movies like Toy Story and Cars. The Run for Rwanda 5K and Fitness Walk will be Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 8:00am. The start and finish lines will be at the north end of McCollum Park in Downers Grove, Illinois. It is presented by a coalition of local churches to benefit Africa New Life Ministries and their work to provide for the street children in Rwanda. All of the proceeds will go directly toward building a much needed church building & water pipeline for the refugee resettlement village of Kogeyo, Rwanda.
