new sermon series
“The Word became flesh . . .” When the eternal Son of God stepped into his own creation, he transformed humanity’s ability to know God. For the first time, God could be seen, heard, and touched – perceived with all our senses. Throughout the Christmas season, we’ll see how the Incarnation demands that we, the Church, become the means by which today’s world sees, hears, touches, tastes, and even smells God – when word and flesh collide.Copies of each message are available on CD by request, on the church website, or as a podcast on iTunes.
HRCC will partner with J.U.S.T of DuPage to provide a basket of holiday food for families of inmates at DuPage County Jail. A bulletin board is on the missions table with a choice of boxed and canned goods that will be included in the baskets,. Take a tag and bring your uncooked food back by Sunday, November 29th.
mark your calendars
There is a small Christmas tree on the missions table in the rear of our sanctuary. On the tree are tags with information about HRCC kids who could use an extra blessing this Christmas! Take a tag, sign-up on the clipboard, buy a Christmas present, and be an anonymous blessing to someone in your church family.
Grab a couple of Hobson Road Community Church bumper stickers and post cards on the info table. Keep them handy to pass out when someone asks about your church.
